Center Logos

Center logo lockups feature the center’s logo endorsed by the BYU Marriott logo. Each center can have a unique logo and/or icon.

Center logos can be used with or without their accompanying graphic icon. If the graphic icon is used in a stand-alone application, it must be paired with one of the center’s non-icon logos.

Below are the approved center logos and icons. Never create your own version of the logo or icon. Any deviations from the provided usage guidelines are considered incorrect. The logos can be downloaded using the link provided at the bottom of the page.

Logo Usage Guidelines

Logo Color Usage

The only acceptable colorations of the logos are shown above. Be sure to place a logo on a clean, uncluttered background; also, use background colors that offer sufficient contrast for the logo to be clearly visible.

Clear Space

Photos, text, and graphic elements must maintain a clear space around the logo to ensure readability.

Minimum Scale

The logo lockups should always be large enough to be legible. In all logo configurations, “BYU Marriott” must be at least 1.25 inches or 250 pixels wide.

Dos and Don’ts

Do place the logo on an area of the photograph that is simple and light or dark enough to provide adequate contrast with the color of the logo.

Do choose a background color from the BYU Marriott marketing color palette that is light enough or dark enough to provide adequate contrast for readability.

Do tint background colors as a way to provide enough contrast behind the logo.

Don’t distort or stretch the logo.

Don’t pair the logo with graphics or unapproved iconography.

Don’t change the size relationship of the logo components.

Don’t use the logo in colors other than what is listed.

Don’t remove BYU Marriott from the logo.

Don’t alter the typography or recreate the logo.

Don’t rearrange the logo elements. Approved social media avatars are an exception to this rule.

Don’t apply the logo on a color that does not provide adequate contrast for readability or on a complex background that obscures readability.
