Army and Air Force ROTC cadets at Brigham Young University will march to Brigham Square Friday, Nov. 8, to be reviewed by BYU Academic Vice President Brent W. Webb during this year’s Presidential Review.

For some Ecuadorians, Brigham Young University's Army ROTC cadets gave a new meaning to the word lifeline as they provided the most crucial link between doctor and patient: communication.

When students first join ROTC, they are thrust into a life of early morning workouts, combat training and weekend warfare simulations.It definitely takes a special kind of person to keep up with the rigorous strain, both physical and mental, that Army cadets are put under. For someone who wasn’t even planning on joining the Army ROTC, Joel Woodruff has really made a name for himself by receiving one of the highest rankings in the nation.

The country of Atropia is in jeopardy. Its southern border is teeming with insurgents dead set on destabilizing the local government. But U.S. military forces have intervened and are trying to secure the southern border.

The stories how married couples met at BYU vary greatly. The pair could meet at a dance or in a student ward; even blind dates have been known to work out every once and awhile. For Derek and Lauren Rose, it was the Army ROTC that brought them together.

Traveling across the country to compete against all ranks of army personnel, the BYU Army ROTC Marksmanship Team shined at the U.S. Army Small Arms Championship.

Capt. David Jungheim, scholarship and enrollment officer, said BYU has won the Ranger Challenge 27 of the past 29 years — the other two years the team took second place.
