Integrated Students

Students who are currently in BYU Marriott’s School of Accountancy (SOA) undergraduate program have the opportunity to apply for the integrated Master of Accountancy (MAcc) program.

Application Information

During the second semester of the accounting junior core, students will attend a meeting where options will be discussed regarding continuing with the bachelor’s program or applying to the MAcc program. Students may apply for the integrated MAcc program, in which students earn their BS in accounting and their MAcc degrees concurrently with both degrees awarded to students upon graduation. Students may also choose to complete their BS degree in accounting and not pursue the MAcc degree.

SOA students who are currently in the junior core who wish to apply for the MAcc program must complete the Bachelor’s/Master’s Decision Form by 4:30 p.m. on the exam preparation day of winter semester. The application includes a $50 application fee and a personal essay. The admission criteria include junior core grades, the personal essay, and professionalism. A minimum junior core GPA of 3.0 is required. The GMAT is waived if you are a student who has completed the BYU Marriott accounting junior core.

Not all who apply to enter the MAcc program are admitted; historically, the acceptance rate has been around seventy-five percent. All applicants will be notified via email by 1 June as to whether they have been accepted.
