BYU Marriott MBA Program Tops Worldwide Ranking
PROVO, Utah – Mar 08, 2019 – BYU Marriott School of Business MBA graduates are catching the attention of recruiters from across the globe. When it comes to who best trains their graduates, the BYU Marriott MBA program was awarded a No. 1 worldwide ranking by Bloomberg Businessweek, above schools such as Harvard Business School, Stanford Graduate School of Business, and the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
In addition to its recognition for training students to be successful post-graduation, Businessweek also used MBA recruiter insights to rank the BYU Marriott MBA program No. 10 for entrepreneurial reputation and No. 12 in three other categories: schools that produce the most creative graduates, the value of a school’s brand, and a school’s entrepreneurial training.
“While it is rewarding to be recognized by publications such as Bloomberg Businessweek, the ultimate measure of achievement for our program is the successful careers and lives of our graduates,” says Grant McQueen, BYU Marriott MBA director. “The high praise from recruiters reinforces our continued efforts to focus on what is best for our students.”
For new MBA candidates, these rankings are likely to be welcome news. “Getting the best job possible is a top priority for incoming students,” says Jason Hall, BYU Marriott MBA recruiting and marketing manager. “Businessweek’s rankings speak volumes about the quality of the academics, the dedication of our students and faculty, and the opportunities available for students after they’ve completed the program.”
These rankings were compiled from 3,698 surveys of employers that recruit MBA graduates. Businessweek wanted to know what mattered most to company recruiters when they were looking to hire students from MBA programs. Businessweek’s rankings, including BYU Marriott MBA’s No. 1 ranking, also shared by the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University, were determined using results from the top thirty ranked MBA programs in the publication's 2018 global business school rankings.
Whether it’s rankings, recruiter feedback, or results from case competitions, McQueen is not shy in praising the program’s students. “I believe our MBA program and students stack up with those from the top programs around the world.”
The BYU Marriott School of Business prepares men and women of faith, character, and professional ability for positions of leadership throughout the world. Named for benefactors J. Willard and Alice S. Marriott, the school is located at Brigham Young University, the largest privately owned, church-sponsored university in the United States. BYU Marriott has four graduate and ten undergraduate programs with an enrollment of approximately 3,300 students.
