Biography

After graduating with a MAcc from BYU in 2012, I started my career working at the FASB. I became a CPA and then spent roughly a decade working in traditional capital markets doing "top-shelf" finance and accounting at an advisory and technology firm specializing in derivatives. I worked closely with many F500 companies developing and managing programs to mitigate currency, interest rate, commodity, and other financial risks. I later earned my MBA from The Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, where I graduated as a Palmer Scholar (top 5%). I then spent nearly 5 years as a senior executive at Taxbit, a Utah-based startup that achieved unicorn status. While there, I led all product, go-to-market, and customer operations for Taxbit's subledger accounting solution and helped the company become the digital asset industry's tax and accounting compliance leader.
My wife and I have 4 amazing kids - 3 boys and a little girl! We love BYU sports, playing basketball together, and enjoying the outdoors as a family.
