Biography
Amanda Pope joins the School of Accountancy as an Associate Teaching Professor. She earned both her undergraduate and master's degrees in accountancy at BYU. Before entering the academic sphere, she enjoyed eighteen years in public accounting with PWC in Washington D.C., Grant Thornton in Salt Lake City and Chicago, GlomoTax in Provo, and, most recently, Andersen in San Francisco (remotely). At Andersen, she oversaw her group's internship training program by assessing interns' progress and guiding them in professional development. At these various firms, she gained experience in Corporate, International, and Global Mobility tax consulting.
