Biography

Rebekah (Bekki) Brau is an Assistant Professor of Global Supply Chain Management at the Marriott School of Business at Brigham Young University. Her research interests include human-machine collaborations and the value creation of AI and analytics through people and processes. Her research has been published in various scholarly journals, such as the Journal of Operations Management, the Journal of Business Logistics, the International Journal of Physical Distribution and Logistics Management, and others. In addition, her research has received awards such as the Journal of Operations Management 2024 Jack Meredith Best Paper Award, the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals Doctoral Dissertation Award and Best Practical Application, and the University of Arkansas Distinguished Dissertation Award.

Bekki currently serves as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Supply Chain Management and the Treasurer for the Production and Operations Management Society (POMS) College of Behavior in Operations Management. She served on the Behavioral Operations Conference Organizing Committee from 2021-2023. She is an active participant in additional professional organizations such as the Academy of Management (AOM), the Council of Supply Chain Management (CSCMP), the Decision Sciences Institute (DSI), and the Institute for Operations Research and Management Sciences (INFORMS).

Bekki received her Ph.D. in Supply Chain Management from the Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas. She also received her MS in Instructional Psychology and Technology and her BS in Business Management from Brigham Young University.
