AFROTC Overview

Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) develops the leaders of tomorrow by preparing students to become officers in the U.S. Air Force or Space Force while earning a college degree.

AFROTC is designed as a 4-year military training program for college students to pursue a commission upon graduation.  The length of the program coincides with the completion of a bachelor’s degree, which is traditionally 3 to 4 years.  If you’re looking to join the program with 3 years or less remaining, contact our recruiter before beginning the program to discuss options.

Cadets are required to enroll in three courses each semester : academic class, leadership lab, and physical training. The courses focus on general military knowledge, military leadership, and national security studies. See Courses for more information.

AFROTC Mission

Develop Air and Space Force leaders of character whom we expect to fight and win our Nation’s wars.
