Biography
Capt Luke Parker is an Associate Professor of Aerospace Studies at Air Force Reserve Officer Train Corp (AFROTC) Detachment 855, Brigham Young University Provo, Utah. He instructs sixty AS200 cadets in AFROTC curriculum as well as oversees their Field Training Preparation program. Additionally, he is also the detachment’s education officer which involves overseeing all detachment curriculum, ensuring curriculum meets AFROTC and university standards, acting test control officer, and ensuring all detachment cadets are meeting respective degree requirements.
Capt Parker is a graduate of the Missouri University of Science and Technology where he received dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Aerospace Engineering and Engineering Management and entered the Air Force in May 2018 as a graduate of Detachment 442 Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps. Additionally, he holds a Master of Science in Engineering Management from the Missouri University of Science and Technology. He completed Fundamentals of Acquisition Management in June 2019 and since then has held a variety of acquisition positions within the National Air and Space Intelligence Center and the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center. Prior to his current position, Capt Parker was the Deputy Program Manager, Advanced Range Threat System – Variant Three, Hill AFB, UT.
Capt Parker is a once deployed officer where he served from Oct 2022 – April 2023 as the Executive Officer to the CAOC Director, Combined Air and Space Operations Center, Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar. During this time, Capt Parker aided in the short turn creation of an Air Tasking Order in support of a combined joint counter-terrorism operation against an Islamic State stronghold resulting in significant degradation of ISIS core leadership.
