Liz Dixon is an Associate Professor of Management Communication at the BYU Marriott School, where she brings industry experience and over two decades of teaching experience to her role. Prior to joining the faculty full time, she served as an adjunct professor for 22 years, teaching MCom 320, ethics, and an MBA presentations course; directing the RIPSE Writing Center; coaching numerous international business case competition teams; and serving as the chair of the BYU Marriott Adjunct Advisory Council. Liz is the co-author of the current Management Communication textbook and directs all management communication curriculum development. Her full-time faculty duties include being the director of all MCom 320 classes.

Liz's industry experience as a healthcare consultant is marked by her ability to provide valuable insights and solutions and cultivate strong relationships with clients, partners, and external stakeholders. Drawing upon her subject matter expertise, Liz easily understood the needs and expectations of external parties, enabling her to effectively communicate her organization's value proposition and offerings. This expertise and skill set enhance her teaching and scholarship, enabling her to bridge the gap between theory and practice in her work. By leveraging her practical experience and deep industry knowledge, Liz brings a unique perspective to her academic endeavors, ensuring her students gain valuable real-world insights.

Outside of academia, Dixon finds joy in her role as a wife to Eric Dixon. Together, they cherish their loving family, including three amazing children and two incredible in-law children. They also delight in the presence of their two beautiful grandchildren, Lily and Hayes. In her spare time, Dixon practices hot yoga and teaches spinning and step aerobics classes at her yoga studio.

Her main goal is to inspire and guide students in their quest for eternal life as they practice faith in Christ, respect for all, integrity in action, and excellence.
