Biography

Hannah Judd completed her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in accounting from BYU and her PhD at Texas A&M University. While at Texas A&M she taught introductory accounting, and at BYU she ​teaches Principles of Accounting II.

Prior to academia, Hannah worked as a tax intern at Deloitte UK in London and as a tax associate at Grant Thornton in Salt Lake City. She has an active CPA license and is a Deloitte Doctoral Fellowship Recipient.

Hannah's research focuses primarily on how taxes and business strategies intersect with financial reporting and capital markets. Specifically, she studies firms’ tax-related disclosures as revealing information about underlying business strategies, as well as how firms’ tax strategies interact with their external environments. She is also broadly interested in tax enforcement, tax policies, and innovation strategies.
