Biography
D. Ross Storey is an Associate Professor of Experience Design and Management at Brigham Young University. He teaches and develops curriculum in experience design, product management, leadership, and business communication, and has led the redesign and delivery of core undergraduate courses and one MBA-level. He also serves in program leadership and service roles, including Chair of the Internship Council and member of the Blueprint Team, where he provides mentorship and client-relations support.
Storey brings more than two decades of professional experience spanning instructional design, product management, organizational training, and visual design. He has led the design and implementation of large-scale learning systems for global audiences, consulted on process improvement and change management, and managed complex, cross-functional projects in both educational and industry settings. His work is grounded in strong visual communication and design thinking, with particular emphasis on making complex systems understandable, human-centered, and actionable.
A formative two-year mission experience in southern Germany profoundly shaped Storey’s approach to Christ-centered leadership, teaching, and service, and launched him into a career focused on learning, experience, and human development. Outside of his academic work, he enjoys mountain bike coaching, skiing, fly fishing, backpacking, music performance, and outdoor adventure—interests that continue to inform his teaching philosophy and emphasis on embodied, experiential learning.
