Second major requests

In alignment with BYU’s policy, language majors are the only second major petitions that will be approved. Second major petitions should first be approved by the language major advisor, and then the petition should be submitted to the student’s assigned Marriott School academic advisor to begin the approval process.

Students that are accepted into either of BYU Marriott’s integrated programs (MAcc and MISM) will not be approved to earn a double major.

Continuing student status

To retain status as a student at BYU Marriott, students must take at least one three-credit-hour business course each semester and earn passing grades in all business classes as well as maintain a 2.0 overall GPA.
