Program Overview

The Marriott Research Fellows Program aims to serve as a gateway for students interested in research on campus. This seven-week, on-campus, paid opportunity helps students develop the skills necessary to begin assisting full-time faculty as research assistants (RAs).

The program provides students with foundational skill training on the research process and academic writing, including terminology, methodology, and skills in formalizing research rationales and completing literature reviews. Students will learn how to conduct and organize data searches and data visualization and become equipped and able to start working immediately following training for BYU Marriott faculty as effective research assistants.
