Biography

My name is Sam Meadows, I am a native of St. Louis, Missouri. I enlisted into the United States Army in May of 2006. Throughout the last 17 years I have primarily served in light infantry brigade combat teams and airborne brigade combat teams. In between my time spent in operational units I served as a Drill Sergeant at Fort Moore, GA. I have served in all Infantry key leader positions from Rifleman up to 1SG.

Military education includes all levels of the Noncommissioned Officer Education Academy up to the Master Leader Course. Graduate of Ranger School, U.S. Army Drill Sergeant Academy, Airborne School, level 1 combative course, U.S. Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape course, and the Security Assistance Training Team Operations Course.

Combat Deployments include Operation Enduring Freedom. I have served in official capacities in Kosovo, Panama, Saudi Arabia, Dominican Republic, Italy, Croatia, Germany, Greece, and Slovenia.

Awards and Decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Navy Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Overseas Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, and the NATO Medal. I have earned the Ranger tab, Parachutist Badge, Drill Sergeant Identification badge, Expert Infantry badge, and Combat Infantry badge.

I am currently pursuing my bachelor’s degree in cyber security technologies at the University of Maryland Global Campus. My hobbies include long distance running, competitive shooting, wake boarding, snowboarding, fishing, weightlifting, and DIY projects. I have been married to my wife Chloe for 8 years now. We have three daughters and one son. Sawyer is 6, Phayre is 5, Tatum is 2, and our son Maverick is 5 months old.
