Chris Crittenden is an accomplished entrepreneur having most notably founded an artificial intelligence company, which was acquired by Walmart in 2014. Since then, Chris worked for a time at Walmart as head of product for online grocery and then as a partner and CTO at Reef Capital Partners. He is no stranger to the Rollins Center, having also taught as an adjunct professor for BYU Marriott developing a groundbreaking product development and startup accelerator program.
Michael Hendron is the academic director of the Rollins Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology and an entrepreneurship and strategy professor at the Brigham Young University Marriott School of Business. His areas of interest include innovation and growth strategies, management of new ventures, and strategy implementation. He is extensively involved in the support of undergraduate and graduate entrepreneurship programs. Prior to his academic career Mike worked full-time as a strategy consultant serving technology firms (hardware, software, and online services) with Alliance Consulting Group and in his own independent practice, Arcwise Consulting. His clients ranged from venture-backed startups and small-cap publicly traded firms to global Fortune 500 brands. Mike also worked in the Silicon Valley operations of the global trading firm Kanematsu, where he helped US technology companies expand to markets in Asia. Mike holds a Ph.D. in Strategic Management from the University of Texas at Austin, an M.B.A. with honors from the Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia, and a B.A. in Political Science from Brigham Young University.
Jeff Brown is the associate director operations at the Rollins Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology in the Marriott School of Business. He earned an Executive MPA from the Romney Institute of Public Service and Ethics in the Marriott School and a bachelor’s degree in human resources training and development with a minor in business administration from Idaho State University. Jeff enjoys working with students and helping them realize their dreams. His true passion lies in higher education administration. Jeff loves the buzz of a university campus and all of the extracurricular offerings made available to help individuals realize their full potential and develop their whole selves. Jeff is a huge fan of all sports but especially enjoys basketball. He and his wife, Shelley, have two children.
