Students of any major can dive into entrepreneurship at BYU. Becoming a scholar helps students think creatively, develop skills for a lifetime, and expand their innovative abilities.
The scholar program may be likened to scaling tall peaks. Mount Everest reaches Earth’s highest point at 29,035 feet (8,850 meters) above sea level. When something seems insurmountable and impossible, there are always the brave that venture to fix it, solve it, or beat it. Many have attempted to summit Mount Everest—some have failed and some have succeeded. Growing and developing an idea or business can sometimes feel like climbing Mount Everest; the Rollins Center helps students build their tool kits to reach the summit.
There are four levels in a student’s climb:

DO (Other Requirements)
Attend one of the following competitions: Big Idea Pitch Business Codel Competition New Venture International Business Model Competition Mobile App Competition Student Entrepreneur of the Year Student Innovator of the Year Student mentoring session(s)

Pick TWO classes: The Rollins Center has established a number of courses, but any class not listed that teaches innovation and creativity will also be considered. Please submit requests with the class description to rollinsscholar@byu.net for final approval.
