Program Overview

What Will I Study?

Entrepreneurship students will learn and apply innovation and business theories in hands-on tasks, projects, and case discussions. Curriculum emphasizes the development and management of a business from startup to growth to an established company, as well as principles for business growth, product development, and general management. Students will also learn a broad skillset to understand various functions of business (finance, marketing, organizational development, etc.) especially as they relate to early stages of organizations.

Program Structure

The entrepreneurial management major is a 63-credit hour limited enrollment program. The major accepts forty students yearly to start coursework fall semester. Students are encouraged to take 12 to 15 credits each semester after admittance so that they can graduate in 3 to 4 semesters. Students take the following classes in sequence:

Entrepreneurship Junior Core

Fall Semester

  • ENT 326: Career Development (1.0 credit)
  • ENT 401: Entrepreneurial Innovation (3.0 credits)
  • ENT 402: Strategy and Economics (3.0 credits)
  • MSB 325: Introductory Business Analytics (3.0 credit)

Winter Semester

  • ENT 411: Creating New Ventures (3.0 credits)
  • ENT 436: Experiential Entrepreneurship (3.0 credits)

Additional Emphasis Requirements
