What is Corporate Finance?
Students in the finance major corporate finance track receive specialized training in performing internal financial analysis for corporations of all sizes. This training includes project valuation, capital structure consulting, financial planning and analysis, and more. Much of this education prepares students to identify strategic opportunities made within a corporation and equips them with the tools to determine the financial viability of those options.
Finance graduates who complete courses in the corporate finance track enjoy a broad range of careers within Fortune 500 companies and smaller businesses. Opportunities are abundant and include financial analyst, business consultant, corporate treasurer, and data analyst positions, among others. Many corporations offer rotational programs that allow employees to work in multiple finance roles to help determine the employee’s interests and abilities.
