Admission Criteria

The global supply chain management (GSCM) program values each individual. As part of the application process, we consider background, preparation, and experience that we believe will help admitted students thrive and succeed both during and after the program. We welcome all individuals with sincere interest to apply.

Individuals in the GSCM program are people who typically:

  • enjoy making improvements and solving problems
  • have interest in people skills as well as quantitative skills
  • enjoy working with diverse people and teams
  • are motivated by making a difference in the world

Preparing to Apply

Admission to the GSCM program is based on the following:

  • Essays
    • Tell us about your GSCM interests, preparation, and future plans through four short essays (100–200 words each)
  • GPA
    • We consider multiple aspects of academic performance:
      • Prerequisite GPA, last 30-credit-hour GPA, and overall BYU GPA
  • Résumé
    • Tell us about your work experience using the recommended GSCM format and guidelines

Please see FAQs for additional information on each criteria.
