What Will I Study?
In addition to the core business courses required of all admitted BYU Marriott students, the business management curriculum includes a limited selection of electives in accounting, finance, entrepreneurship, experience design, information systems, marketing, supply chain, strategy, and human resources.
Within these electives, students may choose to pursue a track—a focused, three- or four-course sequence (9–10 credits) that provides additional depth in a specific area. A track is not as extensive as a major or minor and does not appear on a student’s official transcript; however, it may be listed on a résumé and can help communicate focused interest to employers or graduate programs.
Tracks are optional and are not intended to replace the more extensive preparation offered in other business majors. Instead, they allow business management students to develop relevant skills and strengthen career readiness while retaining the flexibility that defines the major. There are currently six tracks, with the possibility of additional tracks in the future.
Current track options include:
- Business Analytics
- Business for Good
- Global Business
- Healthcare Leadership
- Impact Investing
- Leadership
