Biography:
Alison was born and raised in Southern California. She attended Brigham Young University-Idaho (BYU-I) and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Humanities. She also earned a Master of Public Administration (with an emphasis in nonprofit management) from BYU.
Alison met her husband, Steven, on a blind date set up by a fellow MPA student. After graduating from BYU, Alison worked at United Way of Salt Lake for 7 years in various capacities including fundraising, volunteer management, and training. She currently lives in Salt Lake City and works for BYU-Pathway Worldwide as the Success Network Manager. In this capacity, she manages an amazing team of remote Pathway Mentors who coach at-risk students to success during the program. She also works as an Online Adjunct Instructor for BYU-Idaho where she teaches life skills to PathwayConnect students. Alison is passionate about online education, building capacity, and student success.
