Academic Internship Course MSB 199R and 496R
Congratulations on registering for a credit-bearing internship. Please read the following instructions carefully so you can receive the academic credit you have registered for.
Course Requirements
- For one credit hour:
- Complete at least 50 hours of work
- Complete three reports throughout the semester
- Submit internship hours worked
- Complete evaluation (student and internship provider)
- For two credit hours:
- Complete at least 100 hours of work
- Complete three reports throughout the semester
- Submit internship hours worked
- Complete evaluation (student and internship provider)
- For three credit hours:
- Complete at least 150 hours of work
- Complete three reports throughout the semester
- Submit internship hours worked
- Complete evaluation (student and internship provider)
Reports
The purpose of these reports is to have the student reflect on their experiences in their internship. Students will write a report specifically answering a list of questions given. They will complete three reports throughout the semester.
Hours Worked
Students will submit weekly internship hours through a link provided in Learning Suite.
Evaluation
At the end of the internship, students will receive a self-evaluation and an evaluation link to send their direct supervisor.
Learning Outcomes
- Articulate and add additional elements to various theories and concepts associated in business.
- Identify potential mentors in their field as they network with professionals.
- Explore and gather information on career opportunities.
Grading
Grades will be determined by total percentage of points earned, according to the grading scale listed below:
