Biography:

Stephen Sloan is the global head of private market secondaries at Portfolio Advisors. He is also a member of the management committee and serves on the executive committee at FS Investments, which acquired Portfolio Advisors in 2023. Prior to Portfolio Advisors, he was the global head of capital advisory at Greenhill & Co. Before Greenhill, he co-founded and served as managing partner at Cogent Partners, which Greenhill acquired in 2015. Stephen began his career at Goldman Sachs in New York. He earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting and information systems with a minor in Japanese from BYU and earned two master’s degrees in International Studies and an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania. Stephen and Vanessa have four children.
