Biography:
Brian Hughes is a seasoned medical device executive and the North American Area sales director for Ortho Development, where he leads commercial strategy, sales execution, and regional expansion across the United States. Brian has carved out a respected reputation in the joint reconstruction space particularly in hip, knee, and shoulder procedures. His career began in pharmaceutical sales and quickly transitioned into orthopedic sports medicine. His early hands-on experience in the operating room, coupled with his ability to build credibility with top orthopedic surgeons, shaped his approach to leadership: clinically informed, grounded in service, and always focused on outcomes.
In his role at Ortho Development, Brian oversees territory managers and regional reps, drives sales training and talent development, and works closely with executive leadership. He is driven by integrity, consistency, and purpose in all he does.
Brian earned his master’s degree in organizational behavior from BYU. As a former Division I football player at BYU, he brings a competitive edge and team-oriented mindset to every area of his life. He currently serves as a college football scout for the Florida Citrus Bowl. Brian served as a full-time missionary in Tokyo, Japan. He is a passionate Boston Red Sox fan, a world traveler, and a proud family man. Brian and his wife, Angela, are parents to five children and grandparents to three.
