Biography:

Chris Trendler is a leadership advisor and private equity executive with deep expertise in talent strategy, CEO succession, and organizational effectiveness. He is an operating executive and head of portfolio talent at Madison Dearborn Partners, where he leads the firm’s talent strategy across its portfolio. He is also a founding partner of Pendra Group, a firm that advises private equity investors and management teams on critical talent issues across the investment lifecycle. Earlier in his career, Chris was a partner at ghSMART and held leadership and strategy roles at McKinsey & Company. He began his career in law and public policy. Chris earned his bachelor's degree from BYU and his JD from the University of Chicago Law School. A passionate aviation enthusiast, Chris holds commercial pilot and flight instructor ratings and spends weekends flying his family on trips around the Western U.S. He served his mission in Neuquén, Argentina, and still tries to keep up his Spanish. He currently serves as co-chair of the Arizona government relations committee for the Church. Chris and his wife, Toria (also a BYU grad), have three children—two in high school and one in middle school.
