Biography:

David Penner is a portfolio manager at Capital Group with investment responsibilities that span global public equities. Prior to being a portfolio manager, David was an investment analyst with responsibility for U.S. software companies. Before joining Capital, he worked in the private equity and investment banking industries. David earned his bachelor’s degree in finance from BYU and earned his MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business. Philanthropically, he is passionate about educational non-profit work including building trade schools in Africa and serving as a board member and trustee for his local school district foundation. David and his wife, Kalana, live in Los Angeles with their three children. He enjoys coaching his kids’ YMCA basketball teams and cheering on BYU Cougar football and basketball.
