Biography:
Emily was born in California and later raised in UT & ID. Emily graduated from BYU studying Travel, Tourism, and Fashion Merchandising. After graduation, she married and lived in UT, VA, TX & NY where her two children were born. During that period, she worked in retail management at Limited Co., McDougal Properties, Adair Law Firm, and ITransact. She also opened her own business, Bella Bella Boutique.
After becoming a single parent, she worked for the Treasury Department at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints before transferring to the Philanthropies Department in 2012. She enrolled as an MPA student in 2016. She currently serves as a Major Gifts Donor Liaison, where she works with donors in Utah and the eastern U.S. to raise scholarship funds for all the Church’s institutions of higher learning.
Emily married Bill Prisbrey (BYU MBA Class of 2007) in September 2022. Together, they have seven children. Emily enjoys traveling, movies, and spending time with her family & friends. She enjoys community service and helping underrepresented communities. She loves trying new foods, going to new places, and having new experiences.
Emily has founded and served on multiple boards: Winter’s Gift, Early Intervention, and the Women to Women Foundation. She is passionate about mentoring single parents and helping them return to school to further their self-reliance opportunities. She currently works on the Utah Women’s Leadership “A Bolder Way Forward” initiative. She was also an active member of the PTA, where she recently served as President at Bountiful High School 2022-2023.
