In 1998, Jill served her first college internship as a congressional intern in Washington, DC. The skills and knowledge she gained through that experience guided her on a career path dedicated to working in the public sector.

Jill’s actions demonstrate her commitment to having a positive impact on society and the public policy process. Early in her career, Jill served as a representative from Utah at the Women’s Leadership Summit, National Republican Senatorial Committee in Washington, DC. Later, she created the first women’s advisory board for a non-profit public policy think tank in Utah.

After graduating from the University of Utah, Jill served as the first Project Director at the Hinckley Institute of Politics for a political study abroad and service expedition to Kotwara, India, where she planned the establishment of a micro-credit project.

She currently works in government affairs for one of the nation’s leading energy companies and is a registered lobbyist.

Jill has recently been engaged with the Women’s Leadership Institute and is a member of the Utah Women’s Forum. She served on the Council for Advancement and Support of Education Federal Funding Task Force in Washington, DC. Jill currently engages with EDCUtah’s Center for Economic Opportunity and Belonging on the Belong in Utah initiative and the New American’s Taskforce partnership.

Jill has participated for over two decades as a member of Professional Republican Women and the Utah Federation of Republican Women, helping women network, strengthen their political resumes and become more visible in their communities.
