Bio

I'm of Polynesian descent and the phrase "it takes a village to raise a child" means a lot to me, as I'm not only the product of my amazing "village" (e.g. family, friends, loved ones who cared for me, etc.), but am the literal descendent of a people who lived in small villages on the islands of the sea. When I graduated from BYU, I had a strong desire to begin building my "village". This took the form of entrepreneurship and I joined an early stage startup known as foreUP. When I joined foreUP, there weren't more than 8 of us in the company. We worked in a small room at the Business Resource Center of UVU and were out to change the Golf industry by providing the industry's first, fully Cloud golf course management software. As it goes when building a literal village, I worked hard...really hard. I experienced failure. I experienced growth. I experienced all the highs and lows that come with growing an early-stage, bootstrapped company. After an amazing 6-year run at foreUP, I felt it was time to "grow my village". But, as I left foreUP, I knew I made my mark: - I reported directly to the CEO and was a member of the Executive Leadership Team - Drove the strategy and leadership to the Customer Success team and was responsible for the lifetime customer journey - Helped grow foreUP from roughly ~100 customers to over 1,100 by the time I left - Lifted foreUP to have the highest CSAT score in the industry - Grew the company from 8 employees to over 75+ foreUP was eventually acquired and will be an 'adventure of a lifetime' I'm forever grateful to have been apart of. I have found that not many college grads stay with their first company very long. I'm proud to say I stayed with foreUP for 6-years and feel it has the building ground for who I am today. It made my village stronger. During this time of growth, I felt the need to get more 'corporate' experience. I had experienced the star-up life and was ready to grow a different part of my village. Now, I'm growing my village at Rebuy Engine as Director of Partnership Operations and Success, helping to execute the vision / strategy we're building with our strategic partners.

How Can You Give?

"I have a strong "village" that I've built over the years, which is diversified amongst tech and non-tech individuals. I'm confident I can help students find what they're looking for and connect them with professionals in their desired field."
