Biography:
Janna was born and raised in Orem, UT. In high school she had the opportunity to go on a few humanitarian trips abroad and realized her passion for helping others experience new places, people, and cultures. She knew these were aspects she wanted in a future career.
Janna served her mission in the England, London South mission. After her mission she transferred from BYU-Idaho to BYU Provo and studied Public Health. Her internship was spent teaching disease prevention and health classes to the people in Thailand with HELP International. This led to a full-time position where she operated internship programs in Fiji and India for volunteers. After running programs abroad, she was promoted to Office Manager and then Program Director, supervising 12 coordinators in 6 countries, conducting site visits, handling emergency situations, and training coordinators and volunteers. Those experiences led Janna to work at BYU in the travel office where she now currently works as the Associate Director of Travel.
Of her most rewarding accomplishments, Janna earned two titles in April 2021: Master of Public Administration and Mother, as her daughter Quinn was born to her and her husband Drew hours after graduation. They are excited to be welcoming a baby boy into their family this summer.
