Biography:
Spencer earned his undergraduate degree in Political Science from Brigham Young University - Idaho before earning his Master of Public Administration degree from Brigham Young University’s Romney Institute, where he graduated with honors in April of 2021. Prior to finishing his bachelor’s degree, Spencer served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in England.
During his time in the MPA program, Spencer completed a project management internship with Sandia National Labs, managed the BYU MPA Program’s social media accounts, worked as a TA for the Qualitative Decision Analysis classes, and mentored new students while serving in the Sherpa program. Before earning his MPA, Spencer worked as a Campaign Manager for an Iowa congressman and as a Supervisor and Fundraiser for LDS Philanthropies.
Spencer is the Senior Vice President of Client Success at CampaignHQ, where he consults political campaigns and issue organizations, developing strategies to help his clients win their elections and public policy battles. Spencer and his family currently reside in Grinnell, Iowa. He and his wife, Laura have 3 children.
