Upon graduation from the MPA program, Erin (MPA class of 2001) left for California to work as an auditor for the California Bureau of State Audits. Later Erin accepted a position as a consultant with Phase 2 Consulting, a health care management and economics consulting firm located in Salt Lake City Utah.

Erin’s career at Phase 2 Consulting focused on physician data analytics. Her work included designing physician contract models, valuating physician practices, designing revenue cycle performance improvement plans, developing productivity and coding improvement plans, and analyzing rate improvement strategies.

Erin met her husband Trevor Kobe (MPA Class of 2002) while both were attending the MPA program. As luck would have it, not only did their time at the Romney Institute overlap by a year, but they also happened to sign up for the same ballroom dance class. A year and a day after getting married, their first daughter was born. After several long months of balancing being a mom and working late nights as a consultant, Erin decided to stay home full-time. They are the parents of 7 children ranging from 18 to 5 years of age.

As her children have grown, Erin has expanded her activities to include volunteering for the United Way of Northern Utah and serving the homeless in her community. She enjoys spending time with her family camping, hiking, sailing (Hobie 16), and riding side-by-sides. She spends personal time reading, cycling, baking and quilting.
