Biography:

Jim retired after working thirty-two years in the field of public sector labor relations: Utah Public Employees Association in Salt Lake City, Utah; Midwest Center for Public Sector Labor Relations in Bloomington, Indiana; and Montgomery County Government in Rockville, Maryland.

These positions provided a great opportunity to be engaged in an emerging field in the public sector and manage a labor relations program for a large local government with exposure to all facets of the local government experience.

Jim graduated from Brigham Young University in 1972 with a political science major and an MPA in 1974 from the same institution. It was during his tenure as a master’s student that the student association was formed, and he served as its first president.

He and Lynda have been married for more than 50 years and have four children and 12 grandchildren.

Post-retirement has provided opportunities to expand his hobbies and church service (including a senior mission to Norway).
