Biography:

Mike is currently employed as the president of Cottonwood Mutual Water Company, a small culinary water provider in Mountain Green, an unincorporated area of Morgan County, Utah. This position has helped Mike gain an increased understanding of the importance of water in fostering viable growth, development, and quality of life. He has worked for Cottonwood Mutual Water since 2010.

Prior to starting the EMPA program in 2005, Mike worked as an assistant parks superintendent and dabbled in the residential real estate market, where he owned several properties in Salt Lake City and Ogden. Mike likes to say when it comes to his education that he has three degrees of glory from Brigham Young University: a bachelor’s degree in turf management, a Master of Science in Horticulture, and a Master of Public Administration. He will let you guess which of the three he considers “celestial”.

In his spare time, Mike likes to golf, travel, and complete home-improvement projects around the house.
