Biography:
Steve Smoot is the chief operating officer at SSM Health. He was the former associate chief operating officer with Intermountain Healthcare (IHC). He also was the former regional vice president for IHC and had accountability for seven hospitals including all of Utah County down through central Utah. He spent seventeen years with IHC and previously worked as a healthcare executive in Montana, Kentucky, and Ohio. Steve earned his bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration from Weber State University and his MBA from BYU. He loves all things outdoors, including skiing, mountain biking, boating, and hiking. Steve and Kendra have five daughters and one granddaughter.
