Biography:

Marlene Jex was born and raised in California. She graduated from BYU with a degree in speech and drama and worked as a speech pathologist in the public schools. Marlene and her husband, John, served full-time missions in Romania and Africa as Humanitarian Country directors. She has been teaching English to Afghan refugees for a few years and that is now her passion along with grandchildren and traveling. Marlene and John have two children.
