Biography:
Sterling Jackson is a CMO for a division of J.P. Morgan Chase. He leads a global marketing team that covers brand strategy, growth marketing, product marketing, content marketing, creative and design, PR, communications, insights, events, and operations. A two-time IPO marketing leader, Sterling has helped scale some of the world’s most recognized technology and financial services brands, including B2B and B2C. Prior to J.P. Morgan Chase, he served as Vice President of Marketing at UserTesting, helping the company grow from $20 million to $220 million in ARR and through a successful IPO and $1.3 billion exit. He also built Qualtrics’ global customer marketing function from the ground up, contributing to its $8 billion acquisition by SAP and later IPO at a $27 billion valuation. Earlier in his career, he held senior marketing and insights roles at Intuit, Hewlett-Packard, Microsoft, and Procter & Gamble.
Sterling earned his MBA from the University of Colorado and his BA in Cultural Anthropology from Brigham Young University. He is passionate about leadership development, growth strategies, category and narrative design, and helping the next generation of marketers turn brands into obsessions, customers into fanatics, and products into passions. He lives with his wife in Alpine, Utah and has four children, whose first initials coincidentally spell T.E.A.M.
