Biography:
Colin recently moved into a new role as HR leader for Boston Scientific’s Global Operations organization. In this capacity he is responsible for HR strategy and execution for the enterprise’s Global Supply Chain, Quality and Regulatory Affairs, Business Transformation, Information Technology (IT), Global Business Services, Security, Corporate Research and Development, Aviation, Global Facilities, Real Estate and Environmental Health and Safety functions. These groups consist of more than 30,000 employees around the world, with significant hubs in Costa Rica, Ireland, India, Malaysia, China and Minnesota. For the 5 years prior to this role, Colin led HR for the Endoscopy Division, a $2.7 billion revenue global business unit within Boston Scientific. This business provides a broad portfolio of products and solutions which enable physicians to diagnose and treat some of today’s most challenging diseases and conditions in areas such as Biliary Disease, Gastrointestinal Cancer, Gastrointestinal Bleeding, Infection Prevention and Pulmonary Disease. In this prior role he also provided HR leadership to Boston Scientific’s CFO, General Counsel, and their respective teams. As a member of the Global HR Leadership team, he also helps shape the human capital strategies for the entire company.
Colin joined Boston Scientific in October 2013 as VP, HR for Europe, providing strategic Business Partner support to the regional leadership team and directing the teams responsible for HR service delivery in the region. In 2017 he moved to Boston, USA to lead the Talent Management function at BSC, responsible for the overall strategic leadership of the corporation’s talent acquisition, training and development, leadership development, performance management, employee engagement and HR analytics activities.
Prior to joining Boston Scientific, Colin held Human Resources positions of increasing responsibility at Dell Technologies, an Information Technology and Services company. He started his career with United Biscuits, a British food company, working first in sales before moving into HR. A British National by birth, most of Colin’s HR career has been in international roles, taking him to over 30 countries.
Colin has a BA degree in Business from Middlesex University (UK) and an MBA degree, with a focus in Organizational Behavior, from Brigham Young University. He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, served a mission in London, England and currently serves in his ward Bishopric. He currently resides in Sudbury, Massachusetts with his wife and two children and his interests outside of work are golf and skiing.
