Biography:

Spencer Wirthlin is Senior Director Global Tax for Walmart with current responsibility for global tax accounting, U.S. federal taxation and state taxation/planning. Spencer is a transformative leader with hands-on experience transforming teams and processes, and championing technology solutions. Before joining Walmart, Spencer worked for Ernst & Young LLP in the San Jose California office, serving a portfolio of clients from Fortune 50 to start-ups. Spencer started his career with KPMG LLP in the Boston Massachusetts office. Spencer has extensive knowledge/working experience in ASC 740, U.S. federal tax, and state and local income tax. Spencer is a CPA and has a Bachelors in Accounting and a Masters Degree in Accounting – Taxation from Brigham Young University. Spencer is married with 4 children.
