Gary Keck
Biography:
Colonel Keck enlisted in the Army in 1974 as a military policeman. He was commissioned a 2LT in the Field Artillery branch upon graduating from Brigham Young University in April of 1982 with a BA in communication. His first duty assignments were as a Fire Support Team Chief, Battery Executive Officer and Battalion Fire Support Officer with the 1st Battalion (ABN) 319th Field Artillery, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. From 1986 until 1989 he served in the 3rd Battalion, 7th Field Artillery, 25th Infantry Division in Hawaii as the Battalion Fire Direction Officer; he also commanded Alpha and Headquarters Battery. Upon completion of graduate school at San Diego State University in 1990, Colonel Keck was assigned to the United States Military Academy, West Point as the Chief of the Television and Film Production Branch of the Audio Visual Instructional and Technology Division (AVIT) of the Directorate of Information Management. He later became the director of AVIT.
