Biography:

Laura was born and raised in Eugene, Oregon. She attended BYU for her undergrad, studying American Studies and Political Science, and served a mission in Lima, Peru. During her MPA program, Laura interned with the nonprofit Fundacion Paraguaya, helping village women in their microfinance lending program, and interned with the Utah Governor’s Office of Economic Development as a program analyst in corporate recruitment and incentives.

After graduating with her MPA in 2012, Laura moved to New York City with her husband, where she worked in public policy for the Manhattan Institute and served as president of the BYU Political Affairs Society. Their family moved to Boston for two years, where Laura worked as a research associate for Harvard Business School in their strategy department. Laura now lives in Lehi, Utah, with her husband and five sons.

She works for Mormon Women for Ethical Government as a Communications Specialist for Redistricting. Laura enjoys serving as a board member for the international education nonprofit, Coafrica, an organization that partners with communities to build classroom capacity onto existing schools in underserved schools throughout Africa.
