Biography:

Rick Collins is a Managing Director at OnCore Consulting, LLC, a Sacramento, California-based Information Technology firm dedicated to the public sector. Rick is responsible for partnerships, growth strategy, and solutions in health and human services, tax and revenue, pensions, and energy markets.

Rick serves as President of the Sacramento Chapter of the BYU Management Society to help the development of business leaders of the Marriott School through moral and ethical leadership. Rick is also a member of the Health and Human Services Information Technology Advisory Group (HSITAG) and has served on other boards and commissions, including the Folsom Library Commission for seven years.

Following graduation from the MPA Program, Rick worked for 16 years with American Management Systems (AMS) providing IT solutions to Health and Human Service agencies, including Child Support, Child Welfare, and Medicaid. After which, he managed State, Local, and Education Department (SLED) efforts in the West for NetApp. Rick joined OnCore in 2015 and grew the company from 20 consultants to over 200 in 8 years.

Rick served a mission in Antwerp, Belgium, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from BYU and a Master of Public Administration from the Romney Institute of Public Management at BYU. Rick lives with his wife, Jennifer, and youngest daughter in Folsom, California. He has a daughter who resides in Orem, a son attending BYU-Idaho, and a daughter attending Utah State University. Rick is an avid baseball fan who enjoys golf and traveling with his family.
