Biography:

As the chief information officer (CIO) for Grant Thornton, David Holyoak is responsible for providing firmwide leadership for the firm’s information technology (IT) needs. David has been serving as CIO since 2000. Prior to assuming this role, he held other leadership positions including chief knowledge officer and director of computer assurance.

While at Grant Thornton, David has been instrumental in implementing new technologies to the firm during a period of explosive growth. Under his leadership, the firm has received many awards for their use of technology including ComputerWorld’s "Securing and Managing the Highly Mobile Workforce", "Assurance Compliance" and as “One of the Top 100 Places to Work in IT.” He is a frequent conference presenter, often quoted in technology publications and has served on various committees for the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Illinois CPA Society, Utah Association of Certified Public Accountants and is a former board member of the Information Technology Alliance.

Mr. Holyoak received a BS in Accounting and Management Information Systems with a Minor in Business Computers from Brigham Young University.
