Biography:
Marc Menden is the Executive Director of Global Supply Chain at General Motors, a role he assumed in January 2025.
Previously, Menden served as Executive Director of Purchasing Program Management at General Motors, a position he began in 2020. In this role, Menden was responsible for global raw materials, strategy, governance, value chain engineering, and sustainability.
Menden is also part of General Motors’ Sustainability Office, where he helps drive the company’s overall vision of Zero Crashes, Zero Emissions, and Zero Congestion.
Prior to this, Menden was Vice President of Global Purchasing and Supply Chain for General Motors South America, a role he started in November 2016. He was responsible for all direct and indirect material purchasing, as well as inbound and outbound logistics and end-to-end supply chain activities across the region. During his tenure, General Motors was the market-share leader in South America, led by the Chevrolet Onix, the region’s top-selling vehicle, with operations in Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, Colombia, Peru, Paraguay, and Uruguay.
Before joining General Motors, Menden spent nine years at Honeywell in a range of purchasing and supply chain leadership roles, including Senior Director of Americas Procurement for Transportation Systems. He also led the corporate purchasing partnership of indirect procurement leaders across Honeywell’s four Strategic Business Groups and oversaw Aerospace’s Americas materials execution for Mechanical Operations and Service Centers. In this capacity, he led planning, procurement, factory scheduling, logistics, inventory management, and materials movement across seven OEM facilities and ten aftermarket and repair and overhaul sites.
Earlier in his career, Menden spent 13 years at Ford Motor Company in a variety of leadership and management roles, including assignments in South America.
Menden holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Arizona and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management, with an emphasis in finance, from Brigham Young University.
