Biography:

Tom Hafen is currently Head of Marketing Strategy at GEICO insurance company, a division of Berkshire Hathaway. Prior to GEICO, Tom was Vice President of Marketing Communications at Goldman Sachs where he led marketing on Goldman's consumer banking platform, Marcus by Goldman Sachs. Tom's past roles include marketing leadership roles at Nestle, Procter and Gamble, and Microsoft. He is currently a Lecturer in Management at Yale University School of Management and an Adjunct Professor of Marketing at Columbia Business School. His publications include research on digital marketing, social media, and U.S. business history. Hafen holds an MBA and PhD from the University of Chicago.
