Biography:
Gibson has created more than a dozen entrepreneurial businesses, including Barclays Oxygen Homecare, which was named as one of the 500 Fastest Growing Companies in the U.S. by Inc. magazine. Gibson co-founded the Utah Angels, an investor group, which has provided well more than $30 million in financing to Utah entrepreneurs. Gibson has authored 150 articles on entrepreneurial topics for the Deseret News, Salt Lake City's leading daily newspaper. He is heavily involved with microenterprise education for the poor. He and his wife, Bette, founded the Academy for Creating Enterprise in the Philippines. The Academy is a school designed to teach microenterprise development among Filipino and Mexican returned missionaries. More than 5,000 returned missionaries have been trained in the Academy curriculum in the Philippines, Mexico, Indonesia, Bolivia, Brazil, Peru and several other countries including Zimbabwe and Benin in Africa. He taught Entrepreneurship as a full time BYU faculty in Provo and at BYU Hawaii.
