Participants in the Marriott School’s Seventh Annual Management Conference will be treated to an in-depth exploration of emerging e-business technologies, a behind the scenes look at the 2002 Winter Olympic Games and much more June 28-30.
Twenty-seven speakers, including Bernard Daines — pioneer of broadband technology and one of Newsweeks’s 100 men to watch in the new millennium — and Keith Jenkins — senior vice president at AOL— will be traveling to Brigham Young University to discuss value-based principles of leadership for organizations, communities and families.
“The Management Conference is an excellent way to interact with some of the innovative leaders and creative managers shaping the business world today,” said Marriott School Dean Ned C. Hill. “The conference provides a prime opportunity to refine general management skills and add depth to a particular business specialization.”
Instructional sessions will expose participants to various business disciplines, including e-business technology, accounting, finance, management, entrepreneurship, public administration, personal developmentand family relations. Participants will also receive continuing professional education credit for attending the conference.
The Management Conference is not all work and no play, however. It is a great experience for the whole family.
While parents enjoy the conference and optional scramble golf tournament at Thanksgiving Point, youth will enjoy excellent child care, tours of Olympic venues, Especially for Youth speakers, an ancient history museum and a day at Seven Peaks Water Park.
