The Marriott School of Management’s Exchange magazine has been keeping alumni informed and in touch with innovative business information and ideas for 25 years. Now, with its latest innovation, Exchange has a new look, new features and a new name: Marriott Alumni Magazine.
The new name ties the magazine more closely to the school, which was named in 1989 for J. Willard and Alice S. Marriott — founders of the Marriott Corporation and generous contributors to the school of management.
“The new magazine will enhance career development and better connect our alumni to BYU’s Marriott School,” said Marriott School Dean Ned C. Hill.
The new features will better address the needs of a diverse number of Brigham Young University business graduates, and with one additional issue each year, alumni will have access to even more information.
“New features will keep alumni connected by providing access to discussions and articles focusing on rising trends, new business skills and problem solving advice from alumni around the world,” said Marriott Alumni Magazine editor, J. Melody Murdock.
Demand for in-depth business information is constantly on the rise. Eleven thousand alumni received the first issue of the magazine in 1976. Today, more than 34,000 alumni draw on the information found in the Marriott Alumni Magazine.
Keeping pace with current business and information trends, Marriott Alumni Magazine is available in print form or online at marriott.byu.edu/marriottmag.
The Marriott School is located at Brigham Young University, the largest privately owned, church-sponsored university in the United States. The school has nationally and internationally ranked programs in accountancy, business management, information systems, public management, organizational behavior and entrepreneurship. The mission of the Marriott School is to educate men and women of faith, character and professional ability who will become outstanding managers and leaders throughout the world. Approximately 3,000 students are enrolled in the Marriott School's graduate and undergraduate programs.
