Biography:
EVP, Chief People and Strategy Officer, Savage.
As CPSO, NJ is responsible for the development of the company’s business and people strategies. In addition, NJ owns marketing, internal communications, government relations and corporate sustainability.
Chief Strategy Officer, KLAS Research
As CSO for KLAS Research and NJ was responsible for the development of the firm’s business strategy as well as the growth of each of its business units. In addition, Pesci was the managing director of KLAS’ new consulting business.
In 2017 NJ started The Ovid Groupe as President and Founder. The Ovid Groupe is a strategic consultancy that enables organizations and executives to transform their business through innovation, focus and execution.
Prior to leading The Ovid Groupe, Pesci was the Executive Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer for Scripps Networks Interactive (SNI).
SNI is one of the leading developers of lifestyle-oriented content for television and the Internet. Media portfolio includes popular lifestyle television and Internet brands HGTV, Food Network, Travel Channel, DIY Network, Cooking Channel and Great American Country.
As EVP, CHRO Pesci oversaw SNI’s global human resources operations with a focus on aligning the company’s long-term strategic growth priorities with the company’s organizational design and objectives. During his tenure as CHRO Pesci introduced the process the company uses for the development and delivery of its business strategies. Pesci’s role was Board facing with a particular focus on executive compensation.
Pesci joined Scripps in 2010 after 19 years as a Global Human Resources Leader for The Procter & Gamble Company in Cincinnati, Ohio. While at P&G, Pesci served in a number of line and HR roles with progressing responsibilities. In his final role at P&G, Pesci led the HR team that supports P&G’s largest organizational unit, Global Supply Chain and Labor Relations. Pesci’s international experience comes from completing a three-year assignment in Frankfurt, Germany where he played an important role in the integration of the Wella Professional acquisition.
Preceding his HR career, Pesci worked as an analyst for the United States Department of Defense in Washington, D.C.
Pesci earned a master’s degree in organizational behavior from Brigham Young University and serves as a member of the HR/OB advisory board.
